Recipe: Soda BreadIngredients: Directions: Working quickly, knead the dough lightly. Note: overworking will result in tough bread. Too little effort will result in a short loaf which doesn't rise properly. Form a large, round loaf about as thick as your fist. Sit the loaf on a lightly-floured baking sheet and cut a cross in the top with a sharp, floured knife. Put immediately into the pre-heated oven at 450°F. When done, remove from oven and immediately wrap the loaf in a clean kitchen towel which will help stop the crust from hardening too much.
